Dr. Jason Fidler DC
Dr. Jason Fidler didn't come to movement-based rehab from a textbook — he came to it from decades of asking his own body to do hard things. A lifelong surfer, former competitive swimmer, everyday city cyclist, and advanced pickleball player (3.82 DUPR), he understands overuse injuries, compensation patterns, and the frustration of being told to 'just rest it' from the inside, not just the clinic.
That perspective shapes how Functional Rehab works. Since 2009, Dr. Fidler has practiced chiropractic in Brooklyn, serving CrossFit South Brooklyn, the borough's broader fitness community, and active adults across NYC for more than 15 years. He holds a doctorate from New York Chiropractic College, has held full-spine Active Release Technique and Kinesio taping certifications since 2006, trained in Elite Sports Science at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center, and has worked alongside mobility expert Dr. Kelly Starrett on biomechanics and movement protocols. He's a regular physician at NYC endurance races and CrossFit competitions, and a former collegiate athlete and personal trainer himself.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, trying to survive a pickleball season, or just trying to sit at a desk without your back seizing up, Dr. Fidler treats you the way he'd want to be treated: assess the real problem, fix the movement behind it, and get you back to doing the thing you love — without needing to see him forever.
Training + Experience
Dr. Fidler gained critical insight into practice management while working at two highly regarded boutique rehab clinics in NYC. A former collegiate athlete and personal trainer himself, he is a regular physician at many of the NYC endurance races and CrossFit competitions. Additionally, Dr. Fidler has undergone training in Elite Sports Science at the Lake Placid Olympic Facility.
An important but often ignored issue is a person’s workstation posture. Dr. Fidler provides a high quality workstation consult to make the repetitive motions of work and daily living activities less traumatic for your body. At Functional Rehab in Brooklyn, Dr. Fidler focuses on your biomechanics in every aspect, to improve the way you move.
